Hello, I’m Corinne. I am closing in on 50 and was living in San Diego California until the spring of 2022 when I took a chance and I sold everything I owned and quit my full time job taking a chance on an adventure in Colombia but things don’t always work out how you expect and I had to come up with a different plan.
I still work remotely part-time with a company that gave me the opportunity to design my own work life balance for which I am forever grateful. I split my time now traveling both internationally and domestically in between staying with my mother whether she is in Michigan or wintering in Arizona. Up until recently, my time with my parents was also for the purpose of assisting them both as my father declined in health and ability due to atypical Parkinson’s disease. I tried to help with everything around the house and the physical parts that were becoming hard on my mother. Dad spent his last winter in Arizona and we said goodbye to him in March 2023. It is hard to believe he is gone but he is no longer suffering from a disease that took everything from him that made him – well, him.
So I am not sure how long this current plan is sustainable as a part time income is hard to stretch but for now, this is what seems to be suiting me.
